Welcome

At Mobile+ we invite you to upload and manage your prepaid sim card estate free of charge.

You may have several different data connectivity providers. Managing this becomes exponentially more difficult as more sims are added to the business.

By following our three simple steps, you will be able to move the management of your sim estate off an excel spreadsheet into a solution that allows you to:

  1.  Organise your prepaid sims into workable groups
  2.  Automate recharges against prepaid lines on the 1st or last day of the month (subject to funds in your wallet)
  3.  Centralise all your sims across several providers into one place

As an extension to the service, we also offer a hybrid, postpaid and Access Point Name (APN) management solution. This is a premium service and does come at a cost. If you would be interested in learning about more detail, please contact enterprise support or create a support ticket above.

Step 1 - Upload Prepaid SIM numbers

Upload one or hundreds of prepaid sims to your newly registered Mobile+ profile.

In order to do so, please download the template, add the lines you would like uploaded, and then use the file selection to locate and upload the file.

File

That is it! the lines will be allocated to your profile (see allocation tab) and you can start working with them from there. In addition you can load device detail, add more sim related detail, and capture locations (lat/lng).

Step 2 - Deposit funds into your Mobile+ wallet

In order to make use of the recharge facility within Mobile+ you will need to EFT funds into the Mobile+ account. Funds will be allocated based on the reference once the deposit clears. An invoice will be sent to you post the receipt of the funds based on the details provided at registration.

Your reference number:
First National Bank
62379328159

Please note: a facilitation fee of R0.75 will be deducted from your wallet on every successful recharge.

Step 3 - Setup recharge automation on one or multiple SIMS using our automation wizard

In order to setup an automated recharge, you will need to do so on each sim (bulk automation will be available in the next release: February 2026).

Click on the power button on the allocation tab (above) and follow the steps that are displayed on the accordion menu.

Please note: automated recharges are subject to funds available in your wallet.

4.2. Overview: Provides a holistic overview of your SIM Estate with the option of viewing the data in 4 different categories which are Activity, Overage, Usage and Costs . Mousing over a section of the graph will illustrate the detail as shown below

    Overview

4.3. Usage: Provides a 30-day rolling graph which illustrates how the different bearers (voice, data and messaging) is being consumed. The solid bars are depicting the consumption and the trend line is tracking costing for the usage as illustrated below.

    Overview

4.4. APN Usage: Should your organisation have private APN's, you are able to view your current months consumption in this graph. Mousing over the APN will detail the APN bundle allocation (Allocation before CAP), APN consumption (Used) and if there is any out of bundle usage (Over CAP).

    Overview

4.5. Overage Management: Via the Monitoring option in the menu you have the ability to setup "Virtual Packages" which can be assigned to MSISDN's (covered in section 6). The Overage Management section is showing you MSISDN's that not conforming to the threshold’s setup by the company administrator. Using the options at the top of this section, you have the ability to export this data to csv, excel, pdf or print. On the right of each MSISDN listed you have the option to,

Edit: Update the details for the MSISDN.

Suspend: Will apply a soft lock to the line. (Network dependant)

Ignore: You have the ability to hide a MSISDN from the overage section. The MSISDN will still be available for reporting in other sections of the platform.

    Overview

4.6. SIM Allocation Management: Through various sections in the platform you are able to allocate SIM's to parts of your Organogram. Failing to allocate SIM's will result in SIM's being placed into a Cost Centre called "Unallocated SIM's". The objective is to allocate all SIM's into your Organogram so that all costs and usage is mapped to correctly to ensure that billing is accurate.

4.7. Top Usage Management: Provides a list of MSISDN's which have consumed any bearer or have generated a cost. Filters which can be applied to this list are Usage or Cost, select a Bearer and lastly select the type of contracts you wish to view. The Overage Management section in point 4.5 above shows you MSISDN's which are not conforming to certain thresholds, whereas the Top Usage Management is showing you consumption regardless of any limitations being applied.

    Overview

  3. Organogram

5.1. How do I create an organogram? The organogram is based on the structure you would like to see associated to your business environment and is very much the same as a categorisation pattern for later allocation of your MSISDN's. To add a new level to the system, select the parent cost centre and click the plus (+) icon. To add a root item, leave the parent cost centre field blank. This is done via the Organogram Detail section as illustrated below

    Overview

SIM Count: Shows you the amount of SIM's within the cost centre.

Account no./Unique ref: Assists as an identifier for the node which you are creating.

Classification: Any sort of classification can be added to the platform which can be used with a drop down menu to easily classify your data. E.g. Dept, Region, Client....

Package: Allows you to create and a package to be applied to the cost centre. This is done via the system settings.

Contact name: All alerting for the node you are creating will be sent to the user being assigned in this menu option.

    5.2. What is Organogram Usage?

This section summarises all consumption for all SIM's within the node of the Organogram you have selected as shows below. Values shows are for the current month.

    Overview

    5.3. Bulk organogram allocation?

Due to companies dealing with large volumes of SIM's, being able to allocate SIM's in bulk into the Organogram is a must. SIM Sentinel achieves this by means of a bulk import template. You are able to download the template from the platform as shown below. Once you have completed all relevant information you are then able to navigate to the file and initiate the bulk upload.

Note: All MSISDN's need to be entered in international dialling format excluding the "+" sign. The Sheet Name field needs to completed with the name of the tab you are uploading.

    Overview

  4. Allocation

Section 5 above details how to create your company/client Organogram. In the Allocation menu is where you are able to view details related to the SIM as well as assign the SIM to a node within your Organogram.

    Overview

6.1. How do I allocate a MSISDN? To allocate a SIM to a cost centre (client), you are required to find the SIM within the platform. If the SIM cannot be found, you are unable to allocate the SIM. A SIM will automatically show in the platfrom if network consumption has occurred off the network and we have received the relevant consumption events, otherwise you are required to upload detail manually. Once the SIM has been located by typing the first 5 numbers of the MSISDN into the search field, the SIM can be selected. Under general detail, the SIM will be assigned to the relevant organogram, should you wish to change this simply clear the input box and start typing the name of the cost centre you would like to associate with the SIM. A list will appear allowing you to select the appropriate one. Once done, simply save the detail.

6.2. Please refer to the icon set in section 1 in the picture above. The icons are explained from left to right,

    - Edit: Allows you to change certain detail for the SIM.

    - Usage: This option will bring up an itemised billing for the MSISDN on-screen, showing you all transactions for the MSISDN for the current month.

6.3 This section details general SIM and device related information.

6.3.1. SIM Details: Information such as PIN, PUK, Account Number, ICCID, Activation Date, Expiry Date, Renewal Date and current month SIM usage to name a few.

6.3.2. Device Details: Description for the device/employee, IMEI number, Site information, make, model, device state, location and the custodian of the device

6.3.3. Status: Allows you to suspend(soft lock) or unsuspend a MSISDN. You also have the option of deleting a MSISDN. When selecting Delete, the MSISDN is not removed from the platform, it is just hidden from the front end but all historic data is still available.

  5. Monitoring

Thresholds can be set one of four ways,

7.1.1. At a Global Level: The global level is a catch all threshold set to start managing the unknown or unallocated MSISDN's and is governed by SIM Sentinel. This means that no administrative function need happen before the management of business devices are protected from theft, misuse or misconfiguration.

7.1.2. At a Group Profile level: Allows an administrator to create a threshold which can be set at a level that has been predetermined but that can either be stricter or less strict than the global level given the relevant requirements. This is applied at an Organogram level or node

7.1.3. At the Individual MSISDN level: The MSISDN level allows an administrator to define a threshold specifically to a MSISDN.

7.1.4. At an APN level: Lastly is the option to create a profile which is applied to the dummy MSISDN for your corporate APN.

7.2. When creating a profile there are 4 main sections to complete,

7.2.1. Profile Detail: Provide a name for the profile you are creating.

7.2.2. Class of Service: Allows you to setup thresholds for the 3 bearers which are Voice, Data and Messaging. Thresholds can be setup to monitor Usage OR to monitor Costing. Data is setup in KB, Voice and Messaging is setup using a count of minutes or SMS's as shown below.

    Overview

7.2.3. Escalation Levels: Escalations can only be sent to users which loaded within SIM Sentinel. As illustrated below, you would need to firstly select the Escalation Level which is a percentage. Thereafter you would need to choose who the escalation will be sent to via Contact(s). Lastly you would need to type in the message that you wish to send for this escalation. You are able to add multiple escalation levels.

    Overview

7.2.4. Group/MSISDN/APN Selection: Depending on what profile you have chosen to setup, this is where you would select the entity that the profile would be applied too.

  6. Analytics

SIM Sentinel makes use of embedded Power BI to deliver billing intelligence within the platform. The Analytics dashboard is updated once a day between 6am and 7am [GMT+2]. The information presented comes directly from the SIM Sentinel database which means that the Analytics section provides you with information which is consistent throughout the platform.

There are 3 main areas within Analytics which are outlined and illustrated below,

    Overview

10.1. Tiles: Each element on the analytics ages is referred to as a tile. Each tile represents different information and will update based on what you have selected/filtered.

10.2. Additional Options: Each tile on the dashboard is able to present you with more options which will allow you to sort, spotlight, tabulate or export data.

10.3.Filters: This is where you have the ability to utilise filters to achieve your report output.

  7. Reports

Reporting is generated through a predefined selection of report templates based on our understanding of the industry and general end user requirements. The reporting as relevant parameters that need to be provided and/or selected in order to schedule and ultimately have the report delivered to you in either xls/csv/pdf format. There is no on-screen reports window. This has been done purposefully to avoid needless report requests and to keep system resources optimal.

Custom reporting is available and done via a consultant with Mobile+.

Below is a screenshot of the reporting section,

    Overview

Depending of what report you have chosen, the reporting parameters will be different. Reports are only delivered via email.

The Schedule report button indicates that you are allowed to create scheduled reporting for all reports within the platform.
